Suef’s nude body was positioned between Trenton’s and Abdul’s naked corpses. Rellie covered her own mouth to mask the loud sobs. She pulled it together as best she could and crawled over to Suef’s body. Resting her head on his chest, Rellie cried even harder. He was the only man that she ever cared about, and now he was gone. “Why, God?” she whined. “Why are you punishing me?” Rellie looked up at Suef’s face. She noticed something sticking out of his mouth. She reached up and pulled out a magenta thong. Her grief quickly turned to rage. With the thong in hand, she knew that Kisa was behind this.
“How could you be so stupid?” She slammed her fist against his abdomen. “You let her catch you slippin’ with some pussy. If you were not dead, I’d kill you.” She kissed Suef’s face. “Don’t worry, baby, I’m going to finish what you started.”
Looking at the other bodies, Rellie thought, I gotta get out of here. She went into the laundry room, dampened a towel with bleach, returned to Suef’s body, and wiped it down to remove any traces of her DNA. She then hurried from room to room packing everything that she owned. Though Rellie was distraught, she had the presence of mind to grab Suef’s jewelry collection and all the cash out of the safe.
Rellie hauled everything down to her car in four trips. Before departing, she wiped down all the hard surfaces and doorknobs. On her way out, she blew a kiss at Suef’s lifeless body. “I love you, baby. I promise you on my life … I will get her.”
Eisani entered the visitation room of the Rose M. Singer Center in a bland gray prison jumper. Her long hair was in a ponytail sitting atop of her head. Heartbroken by Eisani’s imprisonment, Kisa began to cry as her cousin approached. They exchanged a brief, firm hug, then sat down.
“How are you holding up, E?”
“I’m okay. I’m adjusting. That’s crazy about Shawn. What was he thinking?”
“I don’t know,” Kisa replied. “Guess he thought things were not going to work in his favor. That girl that was with him said he kept saying he couldn’t go back to prison.”
“That’s so sad, though. I hate that for his mother. Did everything work out the way you wanted?” Eisani inquired.
“Yeah, it all worked out, with the exception of you being in here.”
Eisani shrugged, “It is what it is.”
“It can’t be this,” Kisa replied, big tears sliding down her cheeks. “What did your attorney say?”
“She said that the police thought you were going to be at the spot. They want you bad. The D.A. already came through here trying to offer me a deal to snitch on you.”
“What did they offer?”
