“I can’t hear you.” Kisa put her hand behind her ear. “What was that? Oh, my husband left me behind to take care of business, and I’m doing a wonderful job.”
Suef started grunting again.
Kisa snatched the duct tape from his mouth.
“Ow,” he squealed.
“You fuckin’ bitch. Untie me now.”
“That’s not going to happen.”
“Bitch, when this is over, I’m going to come after you with everything I got.”
“And what do you have? I sure hope you’re not talking about them.” She pointed to the lifeless bodies of Trenton and Abdul, which lay on the floor side by side.
Suef saw his two friends with the huge gashes in their necks; vomit rushed from the pit of his stomach and flew out his mouth, narrowly missing Kisa. It rapidly became clear to him that he might be in the last moments of his life.
“Nigga, I know your tough ass didn’t just earl. Not the big man that had me shot at while I was with my kids. Not the tough guy that sent an innocent young girl to jail. You need to man up, nigga.”
Water crept into Suef’s eyes, but he refused to let one tear drop. “What is it you want, money?”
“Fuck no,” Kisa shot back. “I don’t want anything … on second thought, I do want Rellie.”
“I don’t know where she is.”
“You must have selective memory, ’cause that’s not what you told my homegirl.” Kisa nodded at Mish.
Suef looked over and saw the girl he knew as Aryanna, “You low-down bitch,” he snarled. “You set me up.”
“No need to insult her,” Kisa said. “She was only doing her job. You don’t have to tell me where Rellie is. She’ll play herself, as she always does. That’s when I’ll catch her. Before I leave there is someone else that wants to have a word with you.”
Arnessa entered the room and stood directly in front of him. She didn’t talk, just simply stared. The hate that Arnessa carried for him was radiating from her. Suef knew that he was going to die regardless of what he did. He pulled as much saliva as he could from the back of his throat and spit right in the center of Arnessa’s face.
Snickering, Arnessa wiped the spit from her face with her sleeve, then struck him hard with the back of her closed fist. “That’s for my sister.” Suef’s lip split open. Arnessa struck him once more even harder. “And that’s for Butta.”
Suef licked the blood from his lip, tasted it, and smiled. “Fuck your sister and that faggot-ass nigga.”
Undetected, Mish crept up behind him.
“No, Suef, fuck you.” Arnessa smirked sinisterly. “Die slow.”
