- About the Author
She reached behind her and cupped the softest part of him in her palm, relishing the groan that rumbled against her ear. She found her voice. “My turn.”
“I’m all yours, gorgeous.”
She turned in his hold, soaped up her hands, and then rubbed them down his chest. His gaze incinerated her as she let her hands dip lower and lower. She took her time, liking the way his breath quickened. When his cock was finally in her hands, she slicked him up, watching his pupils dilate and his throat work with restraint. The rush of power that came with seeing how she was affecting him turned her on even more. She’d never had such a strong desire to make someone feel good. She smiled as she stepped back, letting the water wash off the soap bubbles, and then she pushed him against the wall out of the direct spray.
He cursed softly as she got to her knees on the tiles and took him into her mouth. She shuddered with need as her tongue circled around him, the earthy male flavor of him making her thighs squeeze together.
His hand went into her hair and gripped. “KC.”
KC. Not Kincaid. Not baby. But the name only he called her. That simple nickname brought the moment into sharp relief. She could tell herself all she wanted that they were only having fun, but this could never be just a hookup. Even if this was temporary, she and this man had history that went back longer than she’d known most of the people in her life now. He was a part of her, of who she was, of who she became. This was Ash.
The thought should’ve scared her, that their roots ran so deep. She could already feel her attachment to him growing like vines inside her. But she wasn’t going to be a coward. Yes, this would be brief. And yes, it was going to hurt when it was done. But right now, this feeling was worth the price.
Tomorrow was never a guarantee anyway. She was going to live every moment of this time with Ash without her fences in the way. She looked up, letting him catch her gaze, allowing him to see that this was turning her on as much as it was him, and took him deep.
His jaw muscles rippled, and the look on his face was almost pained. His fingers stroked her scalp. “You’re so goddamned beautiful.”
She closed her eyes, letting herself sink into the moment, into the feel of it all. But before long, Ash was halting her and easing her away. She looked up.
“If I don’t stop you now, there will be no stopping.” He cupped her chin as if he was hanging on to a lifeline, intensity in every inch of his expression. “I want you up here with me. Let me make you feel good, too.”
He helped her to her feet, his breathing heavy, and kissed her as soon as she got there. She could feel his need pouring into the kiss with every stroke of his tongue. It was as if he wanted to absorb her. She grappled for him, her own desire making her feel a little crazed. Their movements became rough, hurried. He pressed her back against the wall and pulled her leg up, opening her body to him. He dragged himself against her sensitive flesh, back and forth, back and forth, until she was slick with more than water and the ache inside her was all-consuming.
