The woman smiled and squinted a little at me, that look of trying to figure someone out. Not even positive or negative, just the face when someone is like "what is their deal?" about the person in front of them.
"I'm Hannah." She said.
"Zoe."
"Well, Zoe, since you saved my life from this runaway train, would you be interested in me buying you a stupidly overpriced and way too sweet latte at this place that's a couple of blocks from my apartment, which is coming up at this next stop?"
It was a morning of being stunned, I guess. I totally should have taken the train toward work and abandoned this whole thing with Hannah, but how the hell was I supposed to even think about doing that when she was this beautiful and this flirty?
"I would…love to do that." I said, trying to keep myself from jumping up and down in glee.
This was like a Nicole Marcel novel come to life, and I couldn't believe that I was getting to live it.

Hannah and I shuffled out of the train car and into the bustling station. It was rush hour, so the crowds were pretty massive. Hannah walked faster than me, but there was no way I was going to lose her. I thought about reaching out for her hand as she expertly slithered through the station, but thought it would be too forward. She glanced back at me a few times, smiling, just making sure I was still there. Being right here with her was the only thing I wanted right now.
We got out of the station and I saw Hannah's shoulders relax as we emerged into the morning sunlight. The unfiltered light made her look even more beautiful, highlighting the glittery blush on her cheekbones and the gleaming silver of her piercings.
"Glad we got out of that." I said.
"I know, I thought I'd lose you in the sea of commuters, Zoe…" Hannah looked at me, an eyebrow cocked.
Why this woman seemed to try harder and harder to seduce me, I had no idea. I was already fallen, on the floor, face firmly planted on the ground, for her. But I didn't mind her adding fuel to the fire.
Outside the bustle surrounding the station, things got quiet as we walked away from the massive building and onto a tree-lined residential street.
"So, what do you do for work, Zoe?" Hannah said, expertly dodging a plastic bag blowing down the street towards her.
"I, uh…honestly, it's boring. I could make up a more interesting one if you want me to, though." I said.
"Sure." Hannah smiled sweetly.
"I am in charge of every single automatic sliding door in the city. Not one of those things opens or closes without me knowing about it." I said.
