Eager to complete the quest A Captive Princess and get some payback, Malik and Valerie tried to just bash their way through the gate and kill the pretentious new dungeon lord. It wasn’t the most glorious attempt, but it wasn’t the worst either. They hadn’t prepared anything special, but the two were used to working with one another, so they naturally thought, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Unfortunately, before they even got within 30 feet of the door, a shadow fell over Malik. He turned around, trying to see what was happening, but there was no one behind him—not an enemy, not a neutral party, and not even his companion. As he tried to figure out what had caused the shadow, drops of blood fell across his face, prompting him to look up. He was greeted by Valerie’s dead corpse slamming into his face from five stories up like a heavy sack of potatoes and reducing him to almost no health.

A giant beast then landed on top of him and held him down with six arms. The creature opened its large beak-shaped mouth and bit off Malik’s head. The game took a split second longer than Malik would have liked to process his death, and he was left with the horrific sound of his skull being crunched apart between the monster’s strong jaws.

After that death, Malik and Valerie pressed on and found two others to join their cause. The new players knew of an underground route, so they tried that, but it was to no avail. They were no more than 20 feet into the dark tunnel when spiders started crawling out of the walls. During their frantic defense against the arachnids, they fell into a cavern only to find themselves then surrounded by eggs. His group desperately tried to burn the eggs, and Malik did his best to fend off the horde of hatching spiders. He used his skills to draw them in and take the shots while his party smoothly handled the babies. The fight seemed to be going perfectly until a web shot down from the ceiling right on top of him. He tried to cry out and warn his teammates, but his mouth had been sealed first, and he was able to watch as the rest of his body was wrapped up, piece by piece. And then darkness covered his vision.

Once more, he felt the pain of death. But this time, he was forced to endure the creature consuming his legs and munching its way through his abdomen. His only consolation was that he had previously set the sensitivity meter to 10%.
