On top of all the map tabs attached to the Dungeon Menu, there was also a defensive unit tab. When Lucas clicked on that one, he saw that it was further broken down into types of units and that each one of the units required points. Saba’a was listed as a contracted sub-boss, and she had a five-point requirement. Guards were listed as having either one- or two-point requirements. There was also a part at the bottom where it had types of contracts that could be offered. Most of them were greyed out and inaccessible, but one of them, the “player contract,” wasn’t. It allowed players between Levels 1 and 30 to be contracted for two points each.

The point system was a little confusing to Lucas at first since he had no idea what the general weight of each point was, but then he noticed that his dungeon only allowed 20 points total at the moment. Until he upgraded his dungeon or increased its maximum point capacity, he’d be stuck with at most 15 guards plus the spider throughout the entire manor, even though he had close to 60 soldiers in his territory.

The tutorial wasn’t very specific about how to move things around, so he decided to test the system by clicking on one of the only two dots in the dungeon, Saba’a’s, and dragging it to the main room. He placed her dot there in the throne room and then watched as the giant, fat spider began to materialize in front of him.

“So quickly,” she grumbled. She tried to adjust herself, but her weight prevented her from pushing herself up onto her legs like a proper spider. “You’ve already taken a territory. You’re so busy. It’s so tiresome.”

“You should know by now that I do exactly what I say,” Lucas replied with a grin, watching as the spider shivered in place at his statement. He knew she was recalling the promise he had made earlier if she didn’t capitulate to his demands.

“So . . . what did you bring me here for?” she asked. “Do you plan on having me guard your throne with you?”

“Maybe,” Lucas answered, stowing that idea for the moment. “I’m actually just testing a few things out.”

“I see,” she replied. “What do you wish to test then?”

Lucas looked at her and then remembered that he still hadn’t assigned any of her Evolution Points. He brought up her menu again and this time, he noticed that there was another tab. The first tab on her monster window was almost exactly the same as it had been, but instead of mentioning that evolution wasn’t possible, it just stated how many Evolution Points she had remaining. At the bottom left of her menu, he found the “Evolution” tab.

Saba’a - Arachnoid Miniboss.
Loyalty Level: Contracted.
Current Evolutions: None.
Remaining Evolution Points: 2.
Loot Level: [4/10].
