As before with all V’s, V5 provided photos increasingly explicit in nature in order to meet the demands made by O1. The threats increased. An example being that O1 was able to provide the email addresses of all V5’s school teachers and that of numerous family members, including her parents.

Parents are Danny and Sharon EVANS. They reside at 54 Prospect Close, Lydden, Dover. Danny EVANS appears to be a minor local celebrity following a football career at Dover Athletic. O1 demonstrated awareness of this and included the potential fallout for Danny EVANS as part of his threats.

Other messaging applications in use at the time show that V5 was becoming increasingly isolated from family and friends and felt unable to talk with them. This desperation pushed her to reach out to SOPHIE CUMMINGS via Twitter. This account contained messages from a female who initially described a similar issue – that of being blackmailed for explicit messages and videos. V5 and ‘Sophie Cummings’ held many private conversations online where ‘Sophie Cummings’ advised V5 against involving any other persons. V5 and Sophie Cummings were not known to each other outside of social media.

‘Sophie Cummings’ is now known to have been O1 via a fake profile. This is the same method as displayed with all other victims.

The final exchange between O1 (acting as Sophie Cummings) and V5 reads as follows:

V5: I cannot take this anymore! This has to end. He wants a video now. Of me doing something really bad. Pls, tell me what to do … What can I do? U said he would get bored and move on. Why won’t he leave me alone!?’

AC: I know. I’m so sorry I was wrong … He won’t leave me alone either. There’s only one way out for me … for us. It’s what we talked about. It’ll just be like going to sleep. Kill yourself, Callie.’

The book slipped from Danny’s grasp, the plastic slapping against the solid floor and reverberating round the room like a firecracker. Danny flinched from every part of his body. He looked down, dumbstruck, unable to move while his pulse beat behind his eyes, each one seeming to thicken the cloud of confusion in his mind.

‘She coulda spoke to me! She coulda spoke to any of us … I didn’t know … We couldn’t have!’ He looked up at the man opposite, who was still watching him intently. He reacted by looking away, breaking eye contact for the first time to look at the floor. Danny took a moment to steady himself, to get control of his breath then bent forward to pick up the folder. He stared at the man the whole way.

He turned the page to find another report written in the same format:

Marcus Olsen is the offender for all victims. From this point on he will be referred to as O1.
