DRAGON

Wilderland: the Mountains

Class: varies

A collective term for Beasts of a mixture of reptilian and avian natures, who vary in size, power, and type of Lore.

EBEROCK

Wilderland: the Woods, the Mountains

Class: Prime

Look out! These powerful boarlike Beasts weigh as much as three tons and can cause earth tremors when running at full speed.

FELSNIP

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Trite

These skunklike Beasts, notorious for their powerful stench that can knock an entire town unconscious, have been hunted to near extinction—to which I say, a little smell never hurt anyone!

GARNEELI

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Trite

These crayfishlike Beasts dwell in freshwater and eat dead skin, which can leave even the most calloused feet or hands baby smooth.

GRAVALDOR

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Legendary

Resembling a massive bear, the Legendary Beast of the Woods slumbers for most of the year, and some Keepers credit hearing a low rumbling in the forest that could be his snores. When awakened, he has been known to destroy entire towns, especially when feeling threatened.

GRIFFIN

Wilderland: the Woods, the Desert

Class: Mythic

These flying Beasts thrive in Summer, when they use the heat and sunlight to make flames fall from the sky.

HASIFUSS

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Trite

These slugs secrete a corrosive slime that can burn through grass, tree bark, and even skin.

HOCUS

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Prime

Primarily found in graveyards, these Beasts project terrifying illusions based on intruders’ fears in order to protect their homes. Wrinkly and stout, they are often mistaken for rotten vegetables or disembodied heads.

HOOKSHARK

Wilderland: the Sea

Class: Prime

The heads of these sharks resemble large hooks, which they use with their sand Lore to dig bottom-dwelling fish out from the seafloor.

ISCHRAY

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Prime

These Beasts can only be found on foggy mornings, wandering spookily through the mist and trees. They eat sound by transforming it to wisps, and their age can be determined by the length of their antlers.

KAFERSAFT

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Trite

Sprouting from Kafersaft trees, these leaflike Beasts are some of the most common in the Woods. Their stems are actually small mouths, which suck the tree’s antioxidant-rich sap through its branches.

LOCHMORDRA

Wilderland: the Sea

Class: Legendary

Lochmordra dwells in an unknown place deep within the Sea, rising to terrorize sailors or devastate coastal villages. His mouth is so large, it can swallow ships whole.

LUFTHUND

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Mythic

Tricky to find and trickier to tame, as they are fiercely independent. Resembling large black wolves, they can grow as large as six feet long and four feet tall. They can turn entirely into wind, like a rush of smoke billowing past, and their Lore can conjure storms and wind gusts. Absolutely magnificent! Also highly dangerous.

MISKREAT

Wilderland: the Woods

Class: Familiar

Pesky little pests! Living in colonies at the edge of the Woods, these wrinkly creatures steal into nearby towns and smash any fields of pumpkin, squash, and—occasionally—turnips.
