CARLY Yeah./ I know.

Without another word, CARLY gets up and gathers all of her gear. Goes to GREG and gives him a hug.

Then, after a moment, CARLY pulls away and slaps GREG hard across the cheek.

CARLY … I’m not sure which one of those you deserve, but … you’ll figure it out …

She touches STEPH on the shoulder and goes to the door. Turns one last time. A little sadness in her voice:

CARLY … shift change is pretty soon, so you guys should … (To STEPH.) He’s all yours.

After she’s gone, GREG and STEPH look at each other. STEPH goes to the table and sits down. GREG follows her.

GREG So. (Beat.) Did any of what I just said make sense? I mean …

STEPH Not really.

GREG … Steph …

STEPH What? (Beat.) I mean, yeah, I get it … I’m not stupid. Or dumb. But …

STEPH thinks about this and nods. She finally speaks:

GREG Not yet, no …
