- On any top-ten list of best Sunday plans, today’s brunch with my former crush and his new girlfriend would rank number eleven … hundred. Times five. But I couldn’t say no. We’re still friends.
“Plan B was courting you with reminders of our relationship. I found this Amazon box and put it in there. I put it in your open foyer right before I came over through the fence. With Biscuit as back-up.”
“Yes, yes,” she said. They kissed again.
They stepped out the door into the white powder drift building up on the street. The snow was just below her knees. He retrieved the two sleds from his building’s foyer.
As he walked back, holding the two sleds, she said, “No hot chocolate or soup thermos? It looks like your boy scout training is falling short here.”
He smiled mischievously. “As a boy scout, we’ve been taught skin-to-skin contact is the best way to keep warm in cold weather. I’m definitely prepared to heat you up.”
Audrey laughed. “I’ll hold you to that.”
They walked to Central Park, holding hands, making their own path in the untouched snow.
Dear Reader,
Thank you so much for reading PARTNER PURSUIT. I hope it left you with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
If you enjoyed reading PARTNER PURSUIT, please leave a review. I would appreciate it so much. I can learn what you liked and you can help other readers discover books they might love. Book reviews are also critical to authors because they increase visibility. Book sellers want to recommend books that other readers liked. So, help out an author and another reader today. (It doesn’t even have to be me.) A review doesn’t have to be long; it can be a sentence or two.
Best,
Kathy

It’s been my dream for so long to hold my first book in my hands. I want to thank my family for encouraging and supporting my dream of becoming a full-time author, specifically my husband Claus and my two children. A special thanks also to my mom, my brother, my sister-in-law and my nieces.
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was in elementary school. My dad read a story I wrote in high school and took me to a Cynthia Heimel play to encourage me to write.
