- EPILOGUE
Her leg didn’t seem to matter. She had never felt sexier or more appealing than when Edge made love to her. After the second time, she’d told him she was on the pill, and he had told her he’d just had a physical and been pronounced fit.
Skye had no doubt of that. The man had the body of a warrior. Hard-muscled shoulders, six-pack abs, mouth-watering biceps—she couldn’t get enough of him.
Without a condom, round three was even better than the first two times. Good Lord, she’d had no idea she was such a passionate woman.
As he lay curled around her spoon-fashion, she listened to his deep, even breathing, and almost smiled, would have if the truth weren’t so frightening. She was already more than half in love with him, and there was no way it would last.
Edge wasn’t into relationships. He wasn’t a one-woman man— at least not for long. She should have considered the consequences before she had thrown herself at him.
Not that Edge seemed to mind.
She felt him stir as he began to awaken, felt the thick ridge of his sex nudging her from behind. He wanted more of her, and as long as he did, she would give him what he wanted, give them both what they wanted.
Easing her legs apart, she encouraged him to take her, felt the glide of rigid heat as he slid himself inside. Soon work would intrude, her promise to Callie to find Daniel Henson and free Lila Ramirez.
In the meantime, Skye closed her eyes and felt the hot press of Edge’s mouth against the back of her neck, felt the sweep of pleasure as he adjusted her position and came up on his knees behind her. Skye picked up the rhythm he set, felt the surge of hungry need as their bodies moved in perfect unison toward the peak.
There was plenty of time, she told herself. The day was only getting started. Her problems could wait a little while longer.

Still wearing her fluffy, pink flowered robe, Skye sat at the breakfast table in front of her laptop on hour later, working on leads that might help her locate Daniel Henson.
She heard Edge’s footsteps approaching, felt his lips against the nape of her neck.
“Morning.” He took her cup of cold coffee and handed her a fresh hot mug.
“Thanks.” She took a sip, enjoying the rich, delicious taste that reminded her of Edge’s dark, arousing kisses.
“Any luck?” he asked.
“Actually, I did have a bit of luck this morning. I found out who owns the property where Henson’s compound was located.”
“Sunstar Corporation out of Denver,” Edge said, taking a sip of his coffee.
“That’s right.”
“Unfortunately, that’s as far as I got.”
