- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
“I know. And I don’t mind it. But if I had to admit to being obsessed over something, the one thing I can’t get enough of with you, it’s making love.”
“Love, yes.”
“I’m talking about having sex, bumping uglies, grinding hard.”
“Fucking like bunnies?” he offered.
“Exactly.” She laughed and kissed him again, rubbing her cheek against his beard. “I love you, Xavier. Now let’s get naked and celebrate.”
“Yes, definitely. Oh, and remind me to tell you about Auggie and Benji when I’m done. And my mom and Top. They’re dating just about every night. If this keeps up, we can move into Top’s place when he moves in with my mom.”
“You’re joking!”
“I sure hope I am.” He frowned as he tugged her to her feet and led her back to her room. “If that man expects me to call him Daddy, he’s got another think coming.”
“Another think? You mean another thing.”
“No, no. That’s the expression. ‘Another think.’”
As they argued about the English language, and Xavier somehow inserted a Dr. Who reference into the conversation, he realized he had nothing but joy ahead of him with his best friend by his side. “Hey, about that best friend thing,” he murmured as he undressed her and she undressed him.
“What about it?” She latched onto his nipple and had him hard and aching in an instant.
“Huh?” How did she do that with her tongue?
“The friend thing?” She gripped his dick, and he nearly lost it.
“We never tell Auggie you’re my best friend. I don’t think she could handle it.”
“Gotcha. Now shut up and kiss me, Dr. Who.”
“The Matt Smith one, right?”
She raised a brow and quoted the Doctor. “‘Do what I do. Hold tight and pretend it’s a plan!’”
“Have I told you how much I love you?”
“Tell me again. Better yet, show me.”

A NOTE FROM MARIE: You can stop right here. This is a happily-ever-after ending. Everyone’s in love. Justine and Xavier are doing just swell together, and Justine and Katie will start a new business. Cynthia and Max are falling for each other, and Auggie and Benji are making magic together. But Katie, well, she’s been on one heck of an adventure.
If you want a hint, check out the Epilogue, and don’t miss the follow-on link for an Auggie/Benji short story.
EPILOGUE

Saturday, July 16th
Sea-Tac Airport
Justine waited by the baggage claim at the airport for Katie while Xavier spent the evening with Auggie and Top in some weird Marine thing at his sister’s gym.
Katie’s Single and Ready to Mingle celebration with their now single friend, Jon, had gone down in Vegas the past weekend while Justine and Xavier had spent their time mostly naked with a variety of succulent fruits, melted chocolate, and whipped cream.
She smiled to herself, so in love it wasn’t funny. And love seemed to be in the air, because dinner last night at Cynthia’s house had been a night for couples. Cynthia and Top were adorable, with Top blushing and trying not to show his softer side. Then there was Auggie calling him “Daddy” at every turn, which had both Xavier and Benji—now sporting a shave and haircut showing off a very attractive man—laughing. Apparently, Benji and Auggie had become a couple, and all of them, including Benji, had no idea how she’d wormed her way past his door.
