  50. Epilogue

“Nah. Knox and Aston said they might stop by.” He takes a swig of his beer.

“And everyone else? What’re they up to?”

“Home, I think. I don’t know. Haven’t talked to them today.”

“There you are, Westy.” Looking to my right, two chicks approach us. Twins. Interesting.

I look back over to Weston and mouth, “Westy?” He laughs, flipping me off, before turning his focus back to the twins.

“Ladies! This is Cash, the friend I was telling you about. Cash, this is Madison and Mackenzie. They’re Kappa Delta.”

Looking at the girls, they’re cute as hell. One’s brunette, the other has auburn hair, with loose curls hanging down their back. They both have hoops in their noses and are dressed casually, in ripped jeans and hoodies. “Nice to meet, y’all.”

One sits down beside me while the other takes a seat by Weston. I have no clue which is which, but whatever. Jeremy and one of the other newer pledges, whose name I can’t remember, magically appear with refills for everyone, and they sit down to kick it with us. One of them suggested we play Kings Cup, so we do.

The game lasts a long ass time, but it’s fun. Jeremy ends up having to drink the cup at the end. He somehow manages to do it without barfing everywhere. RIP to his liver. It’s late as fuck by the time we finish. Weston takes his twin—which I’ve learned is Mackenzie—up to one of the spare rooms for the night. Not surprising. They were all over each other for half the game.

Madison and I head up to my room. Most of the house is silent, with pretty much everyone passed out by now. Once the door is shut behind us, I grab her a pair of my shorts to sleep in and she goes to change in the bathroom. Stripping down to my briefs and t-shirt, I climb into bed, sitting with my back to the headboard as she’s walking back in.

Instead of sliding in on the other side of the bed, she climbs on my side, throwing her leg over my lap. Her cheeks are flushed, and her eyes are heavy. A sleepy smile tugs on her lips as she leans down and kisses me. Her lips taste like whatever lip gloss she uses… strawberry or cherry, maybe… and when her tongue moves with mine, I can taste the Truly’s she drank all night.

She grinds on my lap, my crotch taking notice, but before it can get any further, I pull away and take her face in my palms. “Madison, we cannot do this.”

Her brows pinch, and she cocks her head slightly. “What? Why not?”
