- About the Author
But something wasn’t right. The bull was out of control. “What the heck’s going on?” Rosalina asked. “Why’s it going so fast? It didn’t go that fast for me.”
“Because he’s a Bowie. I swear, they make a special speed just for them.”
“Because they’re so fit?”
“Because they’re all extreme athletes.”
“All of them?” She’d read about Brodie’s run for the Olympics but nothing about the brothers. She didn’t need to read anything, though, to see that Brodie had more grace and athleticism than a ballet dancer, hockey player, and gymnast combined. “I heard he missed his shot at the Olympics.”
“Yep, it happened when he was eighteen. He was two weeks away when he got injured. It was awful, because the whole world was watching his every move.”
“Two weeks? Wow. That must’ve been devastating.” She thought about what he’d said about not following-through with his projects, and she thought maybe it made sense. Working so hard towards a goal, pouring your whole heart and soul into it…and then having it snatched away from you. That would make anyone not want to put himself out there again.
After the full eight seconds, where Brodie’s core strength had him looking like he was sitting at a tea party, he swung both legs off the bull for a swift and ridiculously elegant dismount.
While the audience shouted their approval, Rosalina went quiet inside. She was in big trouble. She wanted him in a way she’d never wanted anyone before. He awakened her sexuality, her femininity. Every single cell in her body sang for him.
But it didn’t matter because she had a life to get back to in another country.
Besides, they were going to be business partners for a very long time.
She’d just have to work beside him and shut down all the exciting things happening in her body that she’d waited a lifetime to feel.
Chapter Ten
Brodie dumped the princess on her bed. Eyes closed, she reeked of tequila.
He waited a minute while she settled, her long, dark hair spread all over the white pillowcase. Arching her back to yank the rumpled blanket out from under her, her tits jiggled under the silky fabric of her blouse. She moaned, and his dick hardened.
“I’ll get you some water.” But with her limbs splayed awkwardly like that, he figured he should straighten them out. Probably should’ve pulled the covers back first.
But then she yawned, and her sexy little body stretched and twisted. She looked hot, all loose-limbed and sleepy. Her bangs covered her eyes, and she pursed her lips to blow them away.
Get out of here. Leave her alone.
“My mouth tastes disgusting.” Rolling over, she jammed her face into the pillow. “Liquid’s sloshing around in my belly.”
“Let me get you some Tylenol.” He started for the door.
“Brodie?”
“Yeah?”
