  30. About the Author

She panted beneath him, watching him with liquid eyes. “I’m not saying ‘thank you’.”

“You’ve got no manners at all, do you?” he mused. He flexed his hips, sliding his still hard cock even deeper, and her eyes went wide with shock.

He grinned. It would take him a few minutes to be up for another round, but there was plenty to do while they waited.

Chapter Ten

The summer slid by in a haze of work, friends, and kinky sex. Cade finished up the job he was supervising in Oklahoma City and picked up another in Austin, so he was gone a few days a week. Though she missed him, and the house felt lonely without him, she liked the way he made up for lost time too much to complain.

They were working their way through the list of fantasies she’d given him that first week pretty quickly, and she loved every minute of the elaborate role-play scenarios he constructed for her. But she was surprised to find that it was the everyday stuff she loved most. Waking up with him inside her, being grabbed and bent over the table in the middle of dinner. She would fight or beg, depending on her mood or how he directed her—she was getting pretty good at discerning how he wanted the interaction to go from the tone of his voice, or a few well-placed words—and the result was that she walked around most days with a dreamy smile on her face.

Even the D/s aspect of their relationship was clicking right along. She’d chafed a bit at those daily updates at first, especially when he was in town. It felt unnecessary—why text or email when she could just tell him what was going on? But after a while it just became part of her routine, and she found she liked having the extra connection. He didn’t always answer her messages, but she’d learned to tell him if she needed feedback, and he always gave it. And as time went on, she found herself texting him more, not less, filling him in on the minutia of her day, good, bad and everything in between.

His other D/s rules had taken some getting used to as well. He’d instituted a no-underwear rule, though he graciously allowed her to wear panties to work, and it hadn’t bothered her as much as she’d thought it would. So far, the punishment for forgetting the rule was to have the offending pair of panties used as a gag for an impromptu scene, and she was tempted to ‘forget’ at least once a week.
