- About the Author
“Should’ve stripped her before we got her secured,” Cade said, jerking his chin at the Dropkick Murphys shirt she’d liberated from the hamper to wear to bed. “I really like that shirt.”
“With this score, you can buy ten of them,” Big told him. “Hell, you can hire the fuckin’ band to play at your birthday.”
Cade frowned and rested his hands on his hips. He was shirtless, the sweatpants riding low on his hipbones. His erection was clearly visible, the soft fabric leaving nothing to the imagination, and her pussy pulsed in response.
“I’m going to ask her one more time,” Cade said, still frowning. “Maybe I won’t have to cut it off.”
Big shrugged. “It’s your show.”
“I’m going to be disappointed if she talks now,” Tex drawled, his hand dropping to his crotch. Olivia’s eyes went wide when he cupped the bulge in his jeans. “Things are just starting to get good.”
“Relax,” Cade drawled, and stepped forward. He crouched in front of Olivia, resting a hand between her thighs. She was sitting almost on the edge, only a few inches of black vinyl between her pussy and the end of the bench. His fingers brushed her thigh, twitching in a subtle stroke as he reached up with his other hand and ripped the duct tape from her mouth.
Her face stung like she’d been slapped, and she let out a howling scream. Her eyes burned with unshed tears, but she refused to let them fall. “Asshole,” she managed, panting for air through her raw, tight throat.
He balled the duct tape in his fist and threw it to the side. “Sticks and stones,” he said with a smirk. “Where are they, Olivia?”
She was breathing too fast and starting to hyperventilate. She forced herself to slow down, counting each breath until they were coming easier and the panicked, can’t-get-air sensation had abated. “I still don’t know…what you’re talking about.”
“The diamonds,” Big said, and her gaze darted to him. He was tapping his hand on his thigh, clearly impatient. “Where the fuck are the diamonds?”
“Diamonds?” She looked back at Cade and shook her head. “I don’t have any diamonds.”
“Olivia, I don’t think you understand just how badly this could go for you if you don’t give us what we want. That guy?” He jerked a thumb behind him at Big, still tapping his thigh rhythmically. “He’s not as patient as I am, and not nearly as nice. He’s handy with a knife, doesn’t mind blood, and your big ‘help me, Daddy’ eyes aren’t going to work on him.”
Olivia bit her tongue so hard to hold back the whimper that she tasted blood.
“They might work on him,” Cade went on, jerking a thumb over his other shoulder at Tex. “But not in a good way.”
