  20. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I tried to hold back, to give her the chance to go slow, but she wrapped her hand around my neck and nipped at my mouth. With a growl, I hauled her into my lap. She spread her legs to straddle me, and my fingers followed the line of her thigh.

My heartbeat pounded in my head, deafening in the silence of the room. Nadia whimpered, and the sound changed to a low moan when I held her in place and rolled my hips. She gripped my hair and deepened the kiss, sliding her tongue against mine.

I slipped my hands under her t-shirt to trace the waistband of her shorts around her waist and up her ribcage. Her skin was so soft, I wanted to see if it was that soft everywhere. The lace of her bra blocked my exploring, so I teased her hard nipple over the fabric, trying to show some restraint.

Nadia sighed my name, and I had to clench my fists to keep from rolling her under me right there in the film room. My dick wept, but I liked this girl. I wanted more than a few stolen moments. If I had my way, this was only the beginning.

She arched into my touch, and I hissed out a breath. I was painfully hard underneath her, but I forced my hands back to safer territory.

A loud thump against the door was our only warning we weren’t alone anymore. Nadia rolled off my lap to sit next to me just as Mac, Noah, Parker, and Soren burst into the room. Only Soren seemed to know that they’d been seconds from getting a surprise show.

I casually scooped up the tablet and held it over my lap. The guys would understand, but I didn’t want to risk them making jokes in front of Nadia again. They bellowed casual greetings to her, marking their easy acceptance of her presence in the group.

Nadia smiled at them and pulled her messy hair back into a ponytail. “Where’s Eva?”

Mac sprawled on the other couch, taking up all the space. “She doesn’t do film unless it shows the rival cheer team. She’s always looking to steal new stunts.”

“So she is a cheerleader.”

Soren laughed. “You couldn’t tell from the booty shorts?”

Nadia shrugged and reached for her bag which had toppled onto the floor. “I try not to presume.” Instead of righting it, she pulled the strap over her head. I frowned as she subtly adjusted her clothes.

Shit. Soren was right. I should have locked the door.

As the others gathered tablets and snacks, Nadia nudged my leg with hers. “I’m feeling pretty beat. Can we finish this later?”

“Of course, Em. Anytime.”
