“Fuck yeah.”

She beamed at him. “Absolutely.”

“Great.” He grabbed her hand and pushed open the door. “Let’s go.”

They walked down the hallway hand-in-hand. Eden’s palm itched, but it would be rude to let go. And, if she was being honest, she hoped Francis might see them together. She and Willow re-entered the green room and after a quick scan, Eden knew her friends had gone to see Cassias. Francis was still there though, looking right at her. She avoided his eyes, smiling up at Willow. “Head to the dance floor?”

“You read my mind.”

They walked past Francis and his entourage and Eden saw two of the girls nudge each other and point to Willow. Francis didn’t look happy. She mentally blew him a kiss.

Cheryl was on the dance floor grinding with a girl Eden didn’t recognise. Her friend screamed when she saw them. “How did it go, my sweet ones?”

Eden ducked her head. “Successful. Obviously.”

Willow grinned, completely unabashed. “Want a drink, Cheryl?”

“I’d love one. G&T?”

“Sure.” Willow squeezed Eden’s hand. “What would you like?”

“Um, whiskey?”

“No worries. Be back soon.”

The second he was gone, Cheryl grabbed her hands. “Was it good? I can already tell it was good. Was it good?”

Eden let out a giddy breath. “It was fucking good.”

She and Cheryl jumped up and down screaming like idiots. Normally she’d be trying to get back into goddess mode, but Eden couldn’t help laughing. She felt high, blissfully, incredibly high.

“Are you breaking the streak?” Cheryl yelled. “Is he worthy of a trip home?”

“I don’t know. Dancing first. Decisions later.”

Willow returned with their drinks. “You girls finished talking about me?”

“Not quite,” Cheryl said but she backed away, letting them dance together.

Eden was surprised at how well Willow moved, smooth and unselfconscious. Cassias played a remix of ‘Secret Society’ by Pushloop and everyone cheered. Willow rolled his hips into hers. He was still hard, she realised, hard and thick, but when she looked up, there was no urgency in his eyes. His smile was playful—I can wait if you can.

God, she liked that.

Time blurred as they danced together. They finished their round and when Cheryl shouted that she was thirsty, Willow gave her his beer. That was when Eden decided to go home with him. He might be posh, a professional sportsman, and someone who wouldn’t look out of place at her family Christmas, but she liked him. He was nice. A safe pair of hands. Whatever went down with them, it would be worth the risk.

“Are you okay?” he yelled over the music. “Want another drink?”

“No, do you want to get out of—”
