I dug inside and found the bottle of Fireball I’d requested. “Perfect. Will you guys have a shot with us, or is this too juvenile a drink choice for you?”
Dean tipped his chin at the bottle. “Pour ’em up and tell us where you want us.”
“First of all, phones stay here by the door.” I tapped the small table beside me.
“We didn’t bring them,” Jay said.
I narrowed my eyes, looking for any hints of deception.
Jay held up his hands. “Check me if you don’t believe me.”
So I did, leaving the Fireball on the table so I could pat them both down. Dean smirked as I felt over his pockets, front and back. “You know, frisking people is normally my job.”
“Yeah, yeah. You’re getting a kick out of this. I can tell.”
“Pat me a little to the left, and you’ll find my loaded weapon.”
I ducked my head to his crotch and assessed the bulge in his jeans. “Wow. Locked and loaded already, huh? This thing better not go off in my bedroom, mister. We had a deal.”
“Understood. Where’s your brother?”
I glanced over my shoulder, not seeing Asher anywhere. I shrugged. “Probably cleaning his hole so I can tongue fuck it.”
Dean groaned.
Asher poked his head out of the bedroom, making a liar out of me. “Did they bring the Fireball? I need shots.”
I handed him the bottle. “A round for everyone.”
Asher lined up four tumbler glasses on the counter in the kitchenette. Cracking the bottle, he eyeballed a generous double shot in each and passed them out.
He held his in the air for a toast. “To a night of firsts. Mostly for me.” Then he pounded back the drink, hissing as it burned a path down his throat. “Phew. That’ll put hair on your chest.” Asher reached for the bottle and helped himself to another two ounces or more.
Jay cocked a brow and sipped his Fireball. He didn’t strike me as the shot slamming type. Dean, however, tossed his back without a hitch and set his glass beside Asher’s, looking for a refill too.
Once Asher and Dean had polished off another glass, they carried their third helpings into the bedroom. Jay and I followed.
Asher waved a hand at the seating area. “A cozy spot for your viewing pleasure. We’ll be over there on the bed, doing stuff I never dreamed about until a few months ago.” Asher slammed back his third double and set his glass aside. He rubbed his hands together and glanced at me. “Ready, oh twin brother of mine?”
I drained my Fireball and handed Jay my glass. “Fuckin’ A. Showtime.” I bumped Jay’s shoulder and made my way toward Asher.
“And we’re allowed to offer suggestions?” Jay asked as he and Dean found a spot on the couch.
