This is a tough industry on its best day, and I’m extremely grateful for all the Discords, Slacks, group chats, Facebook groups, DMs, and texts that get me through it; I don’t know how I’d do this without y’all, especially Katie, Marieke, Maggie, A-M, Lev, Tess, Jen, Jess, and Eric. Love to the entire StoryLoom editorial crew, for generally being awesome, and to all the llamas in the Dahlhouse. It’s been a long time, but it was also a damn good time, and I had to memorialize it somewhere. And of course, love to all the bloggers and bookstagrammers who always bring the joy and support.

Finally, to my family, who is bored of these already and I’m pretty sure stopped reading them about five books ago but never stops cheering me on, buying and displaying each title, celebrating each win, and asking how the next one is going (even if sometimes you get nothing but a snarl in response)—I love you.
