Jeez—Holly was a genius! Number six could be exactly the big idea I’d been after. Getting my followers to post ideas for the ultimate UK Christmas challenge—tag their friends in… Maybe I could even work it into a big finale in London? My train tickets were booked for Thursday, and SnapGoGo had offered me a hotel room if I wanted, which was kind of ridiculous, but maybe I could make it all work? I could see the breakfast in bed picture already…

I closed the card, my mind whirring, but there was more on the back.

Sorry—ran out of space! This is the last bit though. As long as you’re staying in my room, don’t forget the three golden rules…

1. Never say no to a festive drink

2. If “All I Want for Christmas Is You” comes on, sing EVERY word. No ducking on the high notes. We must always, ALWAYS respect Queen Mariah. (Did you know they wrote it in fifteen minutes? Howwww??)

3. Have the best time.

Post everything—I can’t wait to seeeeeee.

Love Holly xxxxx

PS Give Colin (DEFINITELY DOG ONLY) a cuddle from meeeeee.

I read it again, not wanting to put it down.

It was weird: it felt like I had a friend with me, despite being so far away from home, and I liked it. No one had written me a letter in forever. And Holly’s list was packed with all the cute British stuff I really needed. Checking it off could help me win #FestiveFifteen. Although…Wi-Fi password meant contact with the outside world.

Seeing the bars of reception pop up was like taking out my hair from a too-tight ponytail. Full-on relief.

And the relief didn’t stop there. My mentions had gone wild. So many likes for the photo of me on the plane. And yes, even one from Dove.

The attendants had let me sneak into first class to take it before kicking me back into economy. @_Beckywiththemediocrehair_ had tagged her friends to help me get followers, and I was now on over two hundred new ones. She was the best. Even @realdeallogan had shared my post on his stories to wish me luck AND had commented:

Wish I was there…

I didn’t really know him, but I knew if he shared more, if I kept him on my side, I had more chance of getting new followers. Pretending I wasn’t grossing myself out, I replied with a:

I’ve heard London is extra this time of year…

Ick. Ick. Ick. I hardly knew the guy, but I had to remember what I was here to do—win. And right now, despite my burst of followers, it was looking hard. Seriously hard. Dove had posted the leaderboard—and I was last. Even worse, Clara was way in the lead with over a thousand new followers. In twenty-four hours?!
