I have the necessary information about him. I know his name, although I have never seen him before. I’m not interested in his private life or his personal habits nor in his virtues or vices. Morality does not come into this business. I have no feelings towards him. My detachment enables me to achieve my purpose each time. Emotions do not play a part in my job. I’m a professional. I pride myself on my impersonal attitude towards my goal. An iron will. A one track mind and a crack shot. No clumsy fumbling ever mars my work. I don’t leave a man to bleed to death. Like a good sportsman I finish him off before I leave. Plenty of others to hunt out in this human jungle. I’m a hunter. Not a predator.
