Letter from Author
Dear Readers,
Well, when this book comes out, we’ll find ourselves with Christmas racing towards us once more. Where does the time go? I’m sure we’ll all be very much looking forward to it. It was horrible not being able to see our loved ones last year, wasn’t it? But let’s make up for it this year.
So many lives have been changed with this awful pandemic. I know that for many who have lost loved ones this time of the year will never be the same again. My heart goes out to you all.
On a happier note, I have begun shopping! Groan! I shouldn’t complain really, at least we are able to shop this year, but I think I’m still rather nervous of crowds after being shut away for so long.
One thing that I do have to thank lockdown for is that I’ve managed to get lots of writing done! And here we are with my brand-new book, A Simple Wish, on the shelves. In this one you will meet Ruby, so named because of her lovely red hair. I do hope you’ll come to love her as much as I did while I was telling her story. Poor girl, as always, she doesn’t have an easy time of it and in this one we visit the jewellery quarter in Birmingham (one of my favourite places!).
Isn’t the cover just lovely? As soon as I saw it, it put me in the festive mood! I think the designer has really excelled on this one and it’s one of my favourites! I do also have to say a huge thank you to all my lovely team at Bonnier Zaffre. They have somehow managed to keep everything on track in getting my books out there during a very difficult time.
