- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
- Also by Val Wood
As a storyteller myself and now with a long career of my own behind me, with many regular readers who tell me they have read all of my books, I thought that with my latest book A Place to Call Home I would put out a teasing challenge to my regular readers by including some of the characters or characters’ names from previous novels in the latest story. I hope my newer readers, after reading A Place to Call Home, might be curious or interested enough to find out who these characters were and what role they played in previous novels. Fun!
That’s what reading should be: entertaining, stimulating, informative and a chance to travel to another point in history, another place in the world, and to meet people who are not real in the flesh, but who can live on in our hearts. And we can have all of this without leaving our armchairs.
