- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. John Sellechio, OD, for his counsel on eye trauma. To my graduate students—Jane, Amanda, and Adam—and Rod Siino, Rusty Barnes, and Katie and Brian Laferte for reading and advising well. To Bob Carey for reading and helping with the title. To the late Barry Briggs, who first suggested the idea for this novel. To the Arizona History Society in Tucson and the Graham County Historical Society in Thatcher, Arizona, for the use of their resources. To Rhode Island College for the time to research this book. And, as always, to Amanda Urban and to Randy for their help and unflagging support.
