Says Bigfoot was first seen by the Native Americans, primarily in the north. Salish people by the northwest and Canadian Native Americans. Canadian Native Americans. That ain’t right. Canadian Indians. Native Canadians. There really ain’t any Native Americans that I know of out here. Every blonde lady that owns a bead shop says she’s one, I guess.

Missouri is not a location that is associated with Bigfoot sightings. Many cryptozoologists do not consider any part of Missouri to be a territory of the potential Bigfoot species. Over the course of many conferences and online discussions, the potential habitable territory of Bigfoot has been determined to be a region called the Bigfoot North Region. This territory stretches from the American Pacific Northwest to the northern, non-arctic regions of Canada, then goes eastward over the Great Lakes, under the Hudson Bay, stopping in Western Quebec.

Barrett tapped his plastic, black medical boot against his linoleum floor as he read from a website called The Bigfoot Consensus Project.

ABOUT BIGFOOT

The creature commonly referred to as “Bigfoot” isn’t a recent phenomenon that simply oozed into American folklore in the last fifty years. Even before Europeans landed in North America, the First Nations Tribes of Canada, the Salish, and a multitude of other Native tribes had depictions of similar creatures in their art as well as tales of their existence in their stories. Now, these descriptions can be wildly different, with some depicting the modern day creatures’ known as Bigfoot as veritable boogeymen, kidnapping children who had the audacity to speak their names, some depicting them as little different from humans, just hairier and wilder, more autonomous, true beings of nature, and some refer to them as humans “Elder Brothers,” shy, natural creatures with their own traditions and cultures, burying their dead and roaming the wilds. I would say to the person reading this, imagine the variety of depictions a human person can have. The same individual could be described as feral, wild, violent, or as peaceful, wise, and generous.

We here at the Bigfoot Consensus Project believe that all these depictions are about the same singular race roaming the temperate forests of Northern North America. For example, all of the stories depict the Bigfoot creatures as taller than average, stronger than average, with limited speech function, and covered in head-to-toe hair. They are described to have simian features.

We are able to state our hypothesis, that the creature commonly known as Bigfoot, while not depicted as foolishly and incorrectly as he is in the media, indisputably exists based off of a multitude of evidence, from tribal stories, to footprints, to pictures and videos, to the similarities in encounters, to environmental cues and population and territory estimations.
