“Wow,” I say, drying my hands. “You want me to stay so badly, you are willing to watch a French movie?”
He shrugs. “Can’t be that bad,” he says, and I shake my head. “I mean, we can always binge watch a show on Netflix.”
“Mad Men,” I tell him. “Matthew and Karrie started watching it, and apparently, it’s my kind of show.”
“Then Mad Men it is,” he says, and we put the food away. He grabs the fish food and throws a little bit in the bowl. “See, it’s super easy.” I roll my eyes, and he grabs us two water bottles, grabbing my hand and leading me to his media room.
“This is so nice,” I say, seeing one wall with the projection screen on it. Eight big leather seats, four in the back and four in the front, have steps on the side of them. He dims the lights, and I look in the corner and see the snack table. “You have this whole setup.”
I look at him, and he goes to sit in the middle chair in the front and turns on the television. He looks over at me. “Eight seasons.”
I walk and sit next to him in the big chair, curling my feet under me. “No idea. Let’s start with the first show and work from there.” He leans over and kisses me, and my hand comes up and holds his face.
“If you want, the chair turns into a bed,” he tells me, leaning his own chair back, and I suddenly want to lie next to him. I nod, and then he is the one who says something. “Come lie with me.”
“I’m right here,” I tell him, trying to show him that I don’t really want to lie with him. He holds his hand out and grabs mine, pulling me over the armrest in the middle. He moves over to the edge, and I lie on my side next to him, and it’s a perfect fit.
“See, a perfect fit.” I lay my head on his arm, and he presses play. The surround sound comes on, and the screen fills with Jon Hamm. I try to keep my eyes open, but as the time goes on, I slowly rest them longer and longer until I feel myself being lifted. “Shh,” Markos whispers, and I’m gently placed on the bed.
“What time is it?” I mumble, thinking I really need to get going.
“Midnight,” he says and then gets into bed next to me. “We fell asleep.”
“I’m going to go,” I tell him, getting up, and he wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me to him.
