As for people outside the bookish world, in the past I have named specific friends and family members etc., but the truth is, there are far too many people to thank. A writer’s job is a unique one. Our blessing is that everybody, everywhere, is interesting to us; there are few activities or situations a writer won’t find fascinating in some way, if only for possible inspiration. Maybe that’s why I’ve been blessed with friends who range from rollerblading lunatics to intellectual and bookish types. I feel incredibly fortunate in this regard.

To all my friends, my family, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

However, there is one person I will always mention by name. Without Krystle, my wife, I am fully convinced I never would’ve become a writer. Our marriage stands in stark contrast to the types of people I write about; it’s only through knowing how good and constructive marriage can be, I feel I’m able to flip it and study the evil side. So the final thank you goes to Krystle, without whom I’d probably be still trying to find my way, lost in life, wondering where I’m going; it’s impossible to overstate how integral her support has been in my writing career.

Finally, I’d like to thank the most important person: yes, that’s right, even more so than Krystle (she never reads my acknowledgements pages). You, the reader; I’m so grateful that you decided to take a chance on this book, and I hope you stick around for the next one.
