KHADIM: No!

DANIELSON: Okay. Okay. Ho-kay.

KHADIM: What?

DANIELSON: 46-19-10.

Those numbers sound familiar? Let me elaborate: Right 46, Left 19, Right 10. Eh?

KHADIM: That’s my locker combination.

DANIELSON: Bingo. Zero-Zero-Zero. Triple Zilch. The three doughnut holes.

KHADIM: My locker number.

DANIELSON: Because you enrolled so late, you got a locker down in the basement. All alone, just you down there, down in the tunnels, down by the North Pool. You probably didn’t know your locker was so close to a bomb shelter, did you.

KHADIM: What about my locker?

DANIELSON: Guess who I had a talk with earlier today, Khadim? Before I brought you up in here.

KHADIM: I give up.

DANIELSON: The Doze. The Dohhhhze.

Good friend, isn’t he?

Want to know why we brought The Doze up here?

KHADIM: Why?

DANIELSON: We’re fairly certain he’s selling drugs to, well, pretty much everyone. The Doze. Thinks he’s so cool until he finds himself sitting in that chair.

He told me something very interesting. He said we could find a bunch of drugs in a certain locker. Locker Zero-Zero-Zero, to be precise. Triple Zilch.

46-19-10.

KHADIM: (leans forward; not panicked) That’s a lie.

DANIELSON: (leaning forward) I know. The Doze is a Big. Fat. Liar.

Khadim and Danielson stare at each other, then Khadim leans back.

KHADIM: So what’s the problem?

DANIELSON: What do you think the problem is?

KHADIM: I think you have a problem.

DANIELSON: Really.

KHADIM: I don’t have any drugs in my locker.

DANIELSON: We’ve established that. That’s not the problem. So what’s the problem? What do you think the problem could be?

Danielson gets up and goes to the large cardboard box behind him. He starts pulling out stacks of expensive, high-end clothing. Men’s shirts, ties, purses for women, scarves.

KHADIM: What are you doing?

DANIELSON: What could the problem be, Khadim?

KHADIM: You broke into my locker?

DANIELSON: I didn’t break into anything. It’s school property.

KHADIM: That’s private!

DANIELSON: Not quite. What is this stuff, huh?

KHADIM: What does it look like?

DANIELSON: I’m asking you.

KHADIM: It’s clothing.

DANIELSON: And so . . . ?

KHADIM: So what’s your question?

DANIELSON: Why are they all here? Why do you have purses in here?

The tags are still on these shirts.

KHADIM: I sell them.

DANIELSON: You sell them.

KHADIM: Yeah. I sell clothes. Not drugs. Clothes.

Danielson tosses them across the desk.

KHADIM: Hey! Don’t throw! These are Armani shirts, man!

DANIELSON: What are you doing selling clothes out of your locker!

KHADIM: Don’t throw! Do you have any idea how much these cost?

DANIELSON: Answer me!

KHADIM: I sell them! There’s no rules that say you can’t sell clothes out of your locker!

DANIELSON: Yes there are.

KHADIM: No there’s not. And I’m not selling drugs. There’s no drugs in this locker. Check it out, look. See if there’s anything in there.

DANIELSON: Where’d you get these shirts?

KHADIM: From the store.

DANIELSON: You bought all these shirts? You bought these purses?
