Chapters (17)
With only fear and butterflies to fill her belly, Saba'a has gone hungry for longer than any monster should. Your temptation was far more than she could withstand, and she has agreed to betray her need for independence and be the beast that guards the entrance to your lair. To seal this contract, the world has taken a part of your being and bound the monster to you, but this effect comes with danger. If you do not uphold your end of the contract by providing her with a place to stay, the binding will break, and you will lose that part of you.
Warning: If you do not own territory or land for Saba'a to reside in within 24 hours, the contract will be voided, your level will be reset to 1, and all of your stats will be reduced to 0. Dying before the territory is secured will result in the same effect.
Current Payout: Saba'a has already capitulated to your desires. You have full control over the Level 1 Sub-Boss Monster.
Full Contract Completion: Once you have given part of your territory to Saba'a to use as her lair, you will be able to not only have full control over her actions but also alter her very being to better guard your dungeon.
Additional Payout Potential: For the remainder of Saba'a’s service, NPCs killed and eaten by Saba'a will permanently die, and Saba'a will be rewarded 1 Evolution Point. Players killed by Saba'a will lose a level, and Saba'a will be rewarded 1 Evolution Point.
Loot Level Factor: As Saba'a eats NPCs, her Loot Level shall increase by 2. As Saba'a eats players, her Loot Level shall increase by 1. If Saba'a dies, her Loot Level shall be reduced by 2.
Tutorial Information: You may access your minion’s information by thinking of the minion and saying the word “access.” This will display a limited amount of information regarding your minion. As they gain additional loyalty toward you, this information will become more detailed.
Lucas, seeing the tutorial guide, thought about testing it out immediately. He pictured Saba'a in his mind, thought about her stat menu, and then did as the tutorial instructed. “Access.”
Saba'a - Arachnoid Miniboss.
Loyalty Level: Contracted.
Current Evolutions: None.
Remaining Evolution Points: 2.
Cannot alter Saba'a’s evolution path until you have fully completed Monster Contract: Saba'a’s Collar.
Loot Level: [4/10].
Lucas looked over the menu, not seeing more than a few lines. So, I can’t alter her at all right now. He assumed that “Contracted” was the lowest possible loyalty level for a monster. He also noticed her inventory wasn’t even listed at all. His eyes lingered over the final line. And I can make her even stronger . . . His initial plan had been to station guards in the spider’s dungeon so as to help her fight intruders, use man-made pillars to hide the webs that were her vulnerability, and make a trap door that would drop players into her lair. He had several other ideas, but he hadn’t once thought about the fact the game might have mechanics built in for helping the boss of a dungeon improve his minions.
