- About the Author
“Fuck! I’m outta here,” Wes grumbled from somewhere in the adjacent room. “I did not need to hear my sister asking to be tied up and dominated by three men.”
“Hmm,” I was thoughtful for a moment. “Pretty sure you weren’t talking about three men there, because I never wrote a group scene in the last book, but I’m going to have to jot that idea down for later.”
“Thanks a lot, Wes, my wife gets horny as hell when she’s writing a new scene like that,” my husband called out in order to torment his friend.
“You’re welcome. I’ll be back when my statue is erect.”
“You mean erected?” Tucker asked.
“I said what I said,” Wes called out just before the front door shut behind them as they left for work.
I laughed along with Luna as we made second breakfast, without cooking meat because pregnancy, like my husband, did not agree with breakfast meats. “I’m going to write Bea and Ky’s story,” I informed Luna.
“That’s fantastic! I’ve always had questions about how everything turned out the way it did with the two of them.”
“Maybe, one day, I’ll be able to write your story too,” I hinted.
Luna laughed, but unfortunately, her laughter was tinged in sadness. “Well, how about you write my story now, and we’ll hope it comes true later?”
“Challenge accepted,” I told her. I didn’t believe in love at the beginning of my own story, I can’t expect her to either. She’ll learn though, and I’ll be lucky enough to have front row seats when my best friend finally falls. I reached down and patted my barely-there belly. Maybe, if we acted quickly enough, she could have a baby soon too so our kids could grow up together and be the best of friends too.
The front door opened once more and by the time I glanced up, my husband stood in front of me. “I forgot something,” he announced as his arms wrapped around my waist and picked me up gently.
“What was that?”
“Forgot to say, I love you,” he told me before kissing me sweetly. Then he put my feet back on the ground and bent to kiss my belly. “I love you too,” he whispered while he was there, and then he took off, back out the door to head to work for real that time.
“You two are relationship goals,” Luna sighed. “Too sweet.”
“Nah, just the perfect amount.”

About the playlist:
There’s a weird little mix of music here from rock to pop, and country to southern rock-blues. There is a reason for this. These characters are from the southeastern portion of the USA. She likes country, he likes rock, and the music is kind of like the relationship they have. It doesn’t always seem like it should go together, but then somehow, it just does!
