“Maybe this wasn’t a good idea,” I suggested as I fiddled with the shirt.

“Maybe what wasn’t a good idea?” Tucker’s voice called from the door of the bedroom. I turned quickly, as he startled me when he spoke. “Holy shit!” He glanced over his shoulder then. “Get out! Lock the door.” The commands were for Wes, who was standing there staring at me too. There was no way they had gone to the gym and back already. Seeing the question in my eyes, Tucker answered, “I forgot my watch. The physical therapist wants me to keep track of my heartrate and oxygen levels whenever I work out.”

“Oh, well, you might want to hurry and get the watch on then,” I insisted. Light chuckling came from my phone which reminded me that Luna was still on the line. I leaned over and ended the conversation by hanging up on her. I’d apologize later, but I was sure she would understand.

“Wes!” Tucker called and then he threw an elbow into his best friend’s midsection. “Get out.”

“Sorry,” Wes hissed and then he winked at me. “Looking good, Mina.”

“Don’t make me kill you,” Tucker yelled at him as Wes retreated down the hall.

I just stood there through it all and smiled up at Tucker rather shyly. “You should probably take a seat,” I whispered. He didn’t keep me waiting. Tucker slipped over to the bed and sat there at the edge. When I got close enough to him, his hand shot out and wrapped around my bare thigh.

“Not that I’m complaining,” he tugged the bottom of his shirt, “but why were you raiding my closet?”

I ducked my head and nervously giggled. “Don’t laugh, okay?”

“I am so far from laughing right now that you don’t even have to worry about that.” Tucker’s voice had gone slightly husky, and I liked it, a lot.

“Well, I don’t have anything sexy to wear. No lingerie, no good nighties, or anything else that men like to see. All I had was one pair of high heels and,” I glanced down at the shirt I wore, “Your shirt.”

“I’ve never seen my shirt look so fucking good before,” he told me. My whole body warmed with the compliment. “And those shoes do amazing things for your legs, Mina,” he went on, killing me with compliments in the best of ways. His hand slid further up my leg, tracing the outside of my thigh all the way up to my hip. “I wonder if there’s anything else under here?” It was a whispered question as he brought his head closer to my body, close enough to take a peek down inside of the barely buttoned shirt. “Mmm,” he moaned. “Don’t see anything.” Tucker took a breath and then slid his hand from my hip back to caress over my ass cheeks. “Don’t feel anything,” he added.

I leaned in and whispered in my husband’s ear, “You should lie back now.”

“No.”
