  35. About the Author

“That’s all right, Carl. I’ve gotten accustomed to it now. I was devastated at the loss. But, you know, I turned to God in a way I never had before. It was then that God’s Spirit really started showing me some of the things that were about to start happening on earth.”

He took a sip of his iced tea, then continued. “In 1995, the Lord gave me a clear understanding of the relation between Bible prophecy and our present situation. A couple of years ago, following what I believed to be His leading, I left my church, sold some of my most profitable investments, gave some money away, and then I bought this place. I’ve been up here praying and studying so that I could be a resource for people all over the world who, like you, are looking for answers during the chaos that’s about to grip the world.”

“It’s certainly a great place,” said Lori. “You’ve got everything you’ll ever need right here.”

“Thanks, Lori,” he said. “And you’re right. That’s why I have all this communications gear.” After a brief pause, he said, “You know, Lori, I can talk to every continent on earth from these mountains. Satellite communications still amaze me.”

“Me too,” Lori said, smiling.

“Mr. Edwards, “ Carl said, “if I heard what you said correctly, you indicated that you already knew this hell was going to break loose on the West Coast. Is that right?”

“Well, yes and no, Carl,” was the answer. “By the way, please call me Jack. I knew it was going to happen soon. I also knew that a short period of indescribable suffering was going to grip the earth. That’s basic teaching, as you probably know. However, I didn’t really know when, or where it would start.”

“I buy that,” Carl replied. “But tell me how you knew five years ago, back in 1995, what was coming and what was going to happen from that time on.”

“Carl, I’m willing to tell you the whole truth, but I want to ask you two questions, as well. Do you have the time to learn the truth? Think it over. If not, then there’s not much point in my going further with this. But if the answer is yes, then I need to know one more thing. Are you ready to face the consequences of that truth?”

Carl and Lori looked at each other, then nodded their heads in unison. “Jack,” Carl said, “take all the time you need. Lori and I are both ready. Believe me.”

“Okay, then let’s get started.”

Both Carl and Lori had a pretty good idea what was coming next. More Bible study. But this time, unlike their first indoctrination with Charley, they were looking forward to it.
