Her eyes swept the table. Everyone was engaged in conversation. They were hotly debating what Yash should accomplish in his first year.

Her fingers touched her phone. They were shaking. Her cheeks were glowing like they did when he strummed her to full awareness, when she was close to release.

What? he typed. Say it.

I hadn’t thought about it until now. She closed her eyes and swallowed as she hit send.

And? His fingers clutched his phone as he waited.

Show me. She swallowed reading her own words.

Vansh took a sip of his wine and his hand fell to his lap. Someone declared that Yash didn’t have a choice but to address the fires first.

Naina set both elbows on the table and rested her chin on her hands.

They were close enough to the tabletop that it covered them completely. His thigh pressed into hers. His hand found the hem of her skirt and played with it. Thank God for flirty skirts.

“Everything all right with Jiggy?” Neel asked.

The cousin giggled. “That’s a hilarious name.”

A smile spread across Naina’s face. “It is hilarious, isn’t it? Vansh finds it hysterical.”

“I do. I find it hard to control myself.” His hand found its way under her skirt. “I can’t stop convulsing . . . with laughter when I say it.” The defined muscles of her leg shivered beneath her velvet skin. Her hand trembled on her wine, and she clutched the stem and took a slow, elegant gulp.

Her body was already ready, held rock steady to hide what was coming. His fingers trailed up her thigh, where taut muscle turned soft and hot, and found the silk of her underwear. With one pinkie he traced the edges that skimmed her skin. She had the most gorgeous underwear of any human on earth.

What color is it? he wanted to ask her.

She tapped her glass. “Red.”

Before anyone could ask what she was talking about, she took another sip. “This red is really good.”

“It is. It’s one of Nisha’s favorite cabs—what is that vinery we were at last year?” Thank the good judge for always knowing what to do with a conversation.

“Peju?” Nisha answered.

“Yes, I think that’s it. Did the waiter take the bottle away?”

“He’s getting us another. Is it a little dry though?”

“Not in the least bit dry,” Vansh said, taking a sip with his left hand.

“I agree,” Ashna said. “I thought it was a little on the sweet side.”

“Definitely sweet.” His fingers twirled the silk until it roped and pressed it into her folds.

Naina’s lips quivered over the glass. Her clit quivered under his thumb. God, she was so wet, and swollen, and ready.

The waiter returned with a new bottle and everyone’s attention turned to him. Well, not everyone’s.
