No thanks.
Even without looking, I could sense Nate and Becky’s amazement. I didn’t want them here but good luck getting rid of Nate when he wanted something.
“I was the first of their mates. Not taken away from Earth per se. Altered in space above Earth without removing anyone that could carry a child. A loophole as some of my people would say but an arrangement that works well for both people.”
He slapped his hands together quickly. I heard it was a Volardi expression of frustration or extreme emotions. Many Humans copied it.
“Unfortunately, they are not enough. So we are seeking those that may be like the original James. Gay men that look like Femeni and want to be inside. He gestured with his hand as a desert planet showed. Successful Omegas go on to positions of prominence. Be it the desert world of Suvo…” He snapped his fingers, and it shifted into a village in the snow. “Perhaps Gelo.” Another snap. “Even the aquatic world of Augo.”
“Perhaps you are the next man with questions about his sexuality?”
From behind Nate snickered. “I can answer that. Hell, yeah.”
Either the hologram ignored him, or he didn’t register as he continued.
“Please fill out the questionnaire in private. Once finished, wait twelve hours before you review your answers. If satisfied, we will contact you to see if you’re an ideal candidate for our pregnancy program.”
Becky’s shrill voice filled the room. “Oh, she is.”

Chapter Five
PETER
Pa was out and would be for a bit. Nate and Becky used the opportunity to well… fuck in the next room. I ignored the moans as best I could. Normally Becky and the douchebag would go somewhere. I suspected it was his ‘Alpha man’ behavior that wanted me to listen.
Although it fit my plan. If they were fucking, that meant she used the poked condoms. Sure, the plan had a few moving parts, but my chances looked good. I had to fail at pregnancy. She had to succeed at it. Once done, I’d have ten thousand dollars. Either I’d give it to Pa and look heroic in his eyes or I’d have money once I left town.
Yeah, that would be something. Sorry Becky, you couldn’t save the family farm, but I could. I was already in the will, but this cemented it. After that, well… Becky would be pregnant and no longer the sweet, innocent girl. That would make her lose favor with Pa.
I smiled even as another long moan passed through the walls.
Fine with me. It only helps.
I turned on my radio, and loud music played. I spent the next hour answering questions on the Volardi touchscreen. Some were blatant like asking if I wanted to be pregnant. I was vague on some, trying to get as close to no as possible while still implying ‘maybe’. A small part of me wondered if I should go overboard and pick no to everything. I shook my head mentally. They were aliens and smart. Anyone that can do all those crazy things had to be.
