She angles toward the window again. “So will we.”
“Is that something you think about?”
Glancing back over her shoulder, she smiles as if she knows I’m onto her. She likes routine but has a spontaneous side that she seems oblivious to. Guess I do know her better than she thinks. “All the time.”
I go to her and wrap my arms around from behind. Dipping down to kiss her neck, I then whisper, “I think about you all the time.”
“What about the future?” She turns in my arms, wrapping her arms around my neck. “What happens when it’s time for us to go to medical school? You don’t even talk about it? I have no idea where you’re applying. Should we consider applying at some of the same schools? Or this, us, ends when fall comes next year?”
Her beautiful green eyes are deeper in color, caught up in the forest of her thoughts. Now that I’ve felt her love, her affection, and caring, I’m not capable of imagining my life without her. But I can’t give her an answer that will appease. I can only tell her, “I’ll go where you go.”
Her body eases against mine, the response seeming to suffice. “Kiss me, babe.”
The night felt ruined not ten minutes ago, but light shines in her eyes, giving me another opportunity. I kiss her, our tongues caressing as our hands find purchase against each other.
We move to the bed, but for a second, I still. Having sex was the intention but after all that’s happened tonight, is it special?
She does a damn good job of sexually satisfying me without the headlining act. And from how she looks after I’ve gone down on her or fucked her with my fingers, I’d say were even.
It was supposed to be a romantic surprise. I wanted to make love to her. Well, I always want to do that, but tonight, it was supposed to be different, better than any expectation she might have. Is that still possible?
The tips of her fingers trace over my temple and then trail into my hair. Holding my face in her hands, she meets my gaze, and says, “Don’t overthink this. All it needs to be is you and me. That’s all I want.”
I look at her once more but can’t find a lie in her eyes. Leaning my head against hers, I close my eyes and breathe her in. “You and me.” And then I kiss her so deep that her toes curl and her knees go weak.

Our bodies are a frenzy of hands and clothes, bodies bumping together as if the words themselves unleashed the ravaging. The buttons of my shirt go flying and the fabric pushed from my shoulders. Her sweatshirt is tugged from her body, sending her hair flying.
My T-shirt is yanked up as I kick off my shoes. I take over and throw it across the room. Her tits are exposed before she starts on her leggings. I stop working on my jeans to give each one a deserved licking and then suck each nipple, caressing one with my tongue and then nipping the other. A gasp has her sucking in and then she narrows her eyes. “You’re going to pay for that.”
