Once he noticed that a woman descended from the heavens and sat on his lap. She had a magical wand in her hand and her face shone green. She wore a mask on her eyes which shone with golden glitter. She waved her wand and suddenly the dark room transformed into a royal bedroom. They were on a grand charpoy across which was kept a teak table. A blue glass tray was kept on it. The tray had cashew, almonds and hapus mangoes on it. A red-coloured wine bottle also found space there. The woman took a sip from the wine bottle and poured it into Asrar’s mouth through her lips. The wine was so intoxicating that it made him lose all connection with his existence. He could feel himself transform into a handsome prince. There were two glittering bead necklaces around his neck and his fingers adorned exotic gems. He was healthy and his chest was broad. The woman kissed his chest, eyes and lips. He held her tightly in his arms. She was silent. He had no thoughts to share too. It was as if she had known him for years and he too knew who she was. It flashed through his mind that this woman could be Shanti, but he discarded the thought because Shanti was a young adolescent girl whereas this woman seemed older and experienced. He smiled and thought that this woman was no other than Jamila Miss. The woman waved her wand again. That very moment it started raining rose petals on the bed and over them. They had no clothes on their bodies, which now smelt of fresh rose. The woman kissed him on the bed of petals. Her kiss left a permanent mark on a corner of his heart. He was involved in the act too. After the act of love, she kissed his forehead. He removed the mask from her eyes. He recognized her. He had known the woman for years. He then kissed her on her arms and held her close. She waved the wand again to change the ambience.
He opened his eyes. The train was at Mangaon station. It was 6 a.m. He pressed his mind to remember the dream but could recollect only a few parts. The part which did not vanish from his mind was the fact that he remembered who that woman was. He could not share his dream with anyone. He thought that no one else in the world could see such dreams except him. He did not know why he saw such dreams. In the past four or five years he had seen similar dreams and always remembered the woman. He felt no embarrassment in the course of the dream but when he opened his eyes, he felt a little ashamed.
A few months later, when Shanti shared with him her secrets and related a similar dream, he also told her about the woman he had seen.
