Basic information about various kind of diamonds and stones was taken from the Daily Ummat (Karachi), November 2013. A few details about the concepts of Satanism, its history and current status in the subcontinent, were also taken from a series of articles published in the Daily Ummat.

The poem on page 178 by Utsavi Jha. The couplet on page 20 is by the Urdu poet Akhlaq Mohammed Khan ‘Shahryar’ (1936–2012).

Couplets by the Urdu poet Rajinder Manchanda Bani (1932–1981) have been used in the novel. The original chapter titles were also derived from a ghazal by Rajinder Manchanda Bani.
