  14. THE BEGINNING

His soul was under perpetual happiness since the day he had met Hina. All the doubts intertwined with the branches in the depths of his soul had been dissociated. Even those doubts that he had about his mother. Falling in love with a woman and the presence of desire of copulation with her had made him a little vagrant. This vagrancy had made him capable of letting go of things easily. There was no place in his heart for any regrets. Hina ruled over each province of his heart. Probably one of the reasons why love was synonymous with lunacy was that it removed all concerns from the lover’s mind and deployed the lover to worship the beloved.

The umbrella of clouds was showering water over them from its cracks while they lay making love on an oblong stone hiding behind a larger rock. Asrar slowly whispered into her ears, ‘I love you more than I love my mother.’ Hina immediately responded: ‘And I love you more than I love my father.’ They were aware that they had freed those words from the depths of their subconscious. Or maybe they just knew nothing other than the fact that they loved each other more than any other person in the whole world. There was a spark through the contact of their drenched bodies and in that moment their clothes seemed like an enemy. They had to be forfeited. Now they were free from the cotton threads which had become a burden on their skins.

The wave which had turned their lips into burning red cinder had now spread into their nerves. Their intoxicated souls were ready to merge into each other in the heat of this passion. They were aware of the flames emanating from their hearts. Now their eyes were increasingly traversing the curves of each other’s skin. How a pale pink rose gains its brightness fully after being soaked in the rainwater! Hina’s skin had acquired the brightest hue of pink after being drenched in the continuous rain and the wildness of love. Asrar had felt the fragrance of rose rising from her glowing skin. That smell had slyly entered his brain and filled all its corners. It had now proceeded to fill up his chest. He whispered, ‘Your body smells like the drops of rain.’ Hina could not hear it in the noise of the rain and the softness of his voice. That fragrance had the ability to soothe the soul! Asrar could not help but think for a moment that both Jamila Miss and Shanti were deprived of this fine perfume. Asrar did not know that when love overtook the passion of sex then the fragrance of the body expressed its colours over all the desires. This colour raised lovemaking from the status of sinful devotional worship to that of a mixing of selves with devotional worship.
