“Well, I have been told I have a talented mouth. And I’ve got to admit, there’s nothing quite like the taste of another man’s cock sitting heavy on your tongue as he unloads into the back of your throat.”
Never let it be said that Micah backs down from a challenge.
Caprice looked shocked. Sophie looked about as mortified as Micah probably should have felt. Joelle cackled. Marco merely took a sip of his wine, staring at Micah like he was a specimen under a microscope who’d just done something particularly interesting. And Damon… well, Micah didn’t dare look at him.
Caprice recovered first. “You uncouth, little-”
“Oh, put a lid on it, Caprice,” Joelle snapped. “No one wants to hear your holier-than-thou bullshit. You’re the one who brought up giving head at the dinner table. And besides, working in the sex industry is a perfectly valid profession.”
Micah couldn’t help but wonder if Joelle had forgotten than she, too, had called him a whore when they’d first met – although, looking back on it, he supposed it had been more of a test than a show of any true maliciousness on her part.
“You would say that considering your boyfriend’s a stripper.”
“Um, ex-stripper, actually,” Fernando pointed out, though neither woman paid him much mind.
“And you talk about people like Fernando – people like Micah – like you don’t personally profit off of them. Or have you forgotten that part of the monthly allowance Damon gives you is financed by the clubs I run? The Seven Deadly Sins are the most successful clubs in all of New York, none of them more so than Lust, and the reason for that is simple: sex sells.”
When Micah had found out that Damon was a mafia boss and started doing research on him, he’d discovered pretty quickly that the man was the main financier of The Seven Deadly Sins, one of the city’s most popular (and notorious) set of night clubs, but he hadn’t realized that Joelle was so heavily involved in them.
“There’s a world of difference between visiting a tasteful club like Lust-”
“You would say that considering your husband frequents the place, wouldn’t you?” Joelle asserted.
“Hey!” Jason piped up. “You know that certain aspects of my work-”
Caprice steamrolled over both of them like she couldn’t hear them.
“-and picking up a desperate hooker off the street, dressing him up, and parading him around at what is supposed to be a family dinner. Yet here we are, forced to pretend that he’s someone actually worth getting to know, and not some random whore that Damon is paying for unlimited access to his hole-”
Smack.
