She blinks at me, and I lean over to grab the turquoise box from the counter. As she covers her mouth, I open it.

“Oh my God.” She stares at it. A giant princess-cut sapphire surrounded by diamonds twinkles before us. Slowly, her eyes meet mine. “Yes, Jett Powers, I would love to be your wife.” Her eyes instantly fill with tears.

Pulling the ring out, I slip it on her finger. “You are my forever, and I want everything with you.”

She stands on her tiptoes, tears spilling down her cheeks, which are smeared with honey-sweet tears. “I just want you, and babies, and…” She throws her arms around my neck and kisses the very tip of my mouth.

Holding on, I breathe her in.

“Did you just say you want babies?” I can’t stop smiling while she continues to kiss me.

“Of course. Not now, but someday.”

Lifting her up, I walk us toward the shower.

“Maybe I’ll consider one,” I murmur into her lips.

“We need at least two.” She wraps her legs around me.

“Hmm, I love a good counter-offer,” I say.

“Let me see if I can convince you.” She slides down my body and all is forgotten—it’s just the two of us.

The world can pause for all I care. Babies, jobs, and life can wait as she takes my cock into her mouth and everything fades.
