  49. About the Author

“Yes,” he hissed. “Just like that. Come with me now, Celia. Come with me.”

The heavens opened and exploded as Celia reached her climax. She cried out, quivering atop Gabriel as he grunted and squeezed her throat tighter. She felt the warmth of his seed bathing her channel, the world shifting and tilting upon its axis.

Gabriel held her tight through the shuddering climax they shared.

“Mine,” he growled, claiming her mouth in a blistering kiss. “My love. My pet. My sweet sugarplum. Mine.”

“Yes,” Celia whispered, kissing Gabriel back with the same fierce intensity. How she loved this man. How she craved his touch. His kisses. “Yours. Always.”

“I cannot believe my fortune in having a woman like you love a rogue like me,” he whispered, caressing her throat now with gentle fingers.

This was Heaven, Gabriel’s arms around her a sanctuary. Her husband was the home she would always have.

She traced the thin scar separating his eyebrow with a gentle finger, her hand drifting lower until it rested against his jaw. Turning his head, his eyes closed as he nuzzled into her palm like a tame lion. His eyes fluttered shut then opened, meeting hers with a blazing intensity that swelled her heart with love. Gabriel brushed her lips with his own, their breaths mingling.

“But you are my rogue, Gabriel,” Celia whispered before their mouths fused together once more. “My own darling rogue.”

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

As always, thank you to my readers for allowing me to go on this amazing journey. Whenever I receive emails, reviews, or notes, I just can’t believe how blessed I am. To write, and have others read those words and enjoy them, is a dream come true. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I also would like to thank Amanda Walker for designing my cover. She always works hard to do what I want. And a huge heap of thanks to my amazing editor, Kendra. She spit-shines every word for me. I am so grateful.

Thank you to my sweet husband, James. He understands that when I say I’ve got to write, that means I’ve got to write! He’s always supportive in helping me accomplish my dreams.

Thanks to the family and friends I can’t live without: Alyssa and Trey. Jodi and Tommy. Dad. Danny and Ashley. Dan and Karen. Chris. Ladyne and Gary. Deb and Lance. Winston. Sean. Cecil and LeAnne. You guys make every weekend special, even those weekends we aren’t necessarily together.

Special thanks to my friends in the book world. Michelle, Cindi, the ladies in the Historical Harlots Facebook Group. You all mean so much to me. The support, the cheerleading, the commiserating, the sharing, the laughter. All of it helps in this day-to-day world we create as authors. Love you guys.

About April Moran

April enjoys writing both historical and new adult romance with a generous splash of heat. When not penning tales of passion, she enjoys traveling with her husband, attending rock concerts with friends, and time spent with family. Brainstorming new storylines is best done while riding her horse or during long walks with her German Shepherd. A tumbler of good whiskey helps tie all the details together and brings her characters to life.
