- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
“Yeah?” I boom, wincing when it comes out too loud.
“Why do you look like a high-priced escort?”
“I don’t!” My voice cracks, so I clear my throat and try again. “I don’t. We-I-we went to get some food. We got food and some drinks.”
“Who’s we?” Dottie says, playfully throwing her hand over her mouth. “Winter, are you fucking the billionaire?”
I shrug, laughing off the question, failing miserably at seeming casual. “No, I am not fucking the millionaire.”
Just then, the door is pulled from my fingertips and it swings all the way open. Aleck steps into the doorway next to me with a smirk and perfectly teased hair. He looks like he just got back from modeling for a casualwear photoshoot while I look like I just banged the entire resort, then took the walk-of-shame back to my suite barefoot.
“She’s right—billionaire.” He flashes a swoon-worthy smile, then leans his hip against the doorframe.
“Seriously?” My eyes widen.
Aleck taps the tip of my nose with his index finger like I’m a doll, or a child, or a bunny. “Seriously.”
Keith and Dottie observe us from the hallway, smirking at each other like they’re privy to the tells in my behavior. And Aleck isn’t helping. Where’s the stoic, unaffected asshole he usually is? If they met that guy they would think twice before assuming I’d ever come near him. This Aleck is cute and playful, welcoming, and acting like a man who just stuck the tip of his dick inside me.
“Well, aren't you two adorable,” Keith says with a widening grin.
“There’s no you two,” I scoff. “There’s no we.”
Aleck grins, then opens the door wide, welcoming our guests to come inside. “We just got back from having a few drinks at a bar up the road.” He swipes his hand through his hair and steps aside as Keith passes. “Winter sang karaoke and I got hungry so we came home so Winter could give me, sorry, make me something to eat.”
My eyes narrow into sharp slits.
“Oh, she sang, did she?” Dottie smirks. “Winter has the voice of an angel.”
“That she does,” Aleck agrees.
Dottie stops before passing me and lifts her hand to my mouth, rubbing her thumb over the corner of my lips. “Got a little bit of smeared lipstick there, Win. Let me just…” She rubs a little harder while my glare on Aleck hardens. “There you go. All cleaned up.”
She winks at me, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth knowingly, then walks deeper into our suite.
Dottie and Keith set their bottles of wine on the island—the same island Aleck made me come all over not ten minutes ago—then walk deeper into the suite with their backs to us.
I whip around and slap Aleck’s chest. He laughs quietly, rubbing where I’ve slapped, and when I turn away from him to join my friends, he snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me into his body. With my back pressed tightly against his front, I inwardly gasp when I feel his firm cock press into my ass while his lips find my neck.
