Love & War
Meet the Author
Melissa Storm is a New York Times and multiple USA Today bestselling author of Women’s Fiction and Inspirational Romance.
Despite an intense, lifelong desire to tell stories for a living, Melissa was “too pragmatic” to choose English as a major in college. Instead, she obtained her master’s degree in Sociology & Survey Methodology—then went straight back to slinging words a year after graduation anyway.
She loves books so much, in fact, that she married fellow author Falcon Storm. Between the two of them, there are always plenty of imaginative, awe-inspiring stories to share. Melissa and Falcon also run a number of book-related businesses together, including LitRing, Sweet Promise Press, Novel Publicity, and Your Author Engine.
When she's not reading, writing, or child-rearing, Melissa spends time relaxing at her home in the Michigan woods, where she is kept company by a seemingly unending quantity of dogs and two very demanding Maine Coon rescues. She also writes under the names of Molly Fitz and Mila Riggs.

Acknowledgments
This time around the bend, thanks goes out to all the usual suspects and a few new members of my support system as well. My biggest helpers when it comes to bringing the church dogs to life are first and foremost my two Chihuahua babies, Sky Princess and Mama Mila.
They are the ones who made me fall in love with this tiny dog breed and serve as the basis for the personality and actions of all the doggie goodness this series has to offer. They also stay glued to my side while I write each day, laying cozily in cat baskets on top of my desk or even inside my shirt (which happens to be Sky’s favorite place to snuggle). If you’ve never had a Chihuahua lick the inside of your ear, you are missing one of the most special blessings this life has to offer!
My husband serves as the inspiration for many of my characters and for all of the romance. Yes, even though I’m the romance author, he’s the one with the big, loving heart! He’s been through some very tough times in his life, but he’s emerged on the other side as a strong, faithful man and one heck of a daddy to our little girl. He is also one of the earliest readers of my books, dutifully giving me his feedback even though my stories have a way of making him feel sadness deep-down. I promise to give him a big thank you hug on your behalf, if you find that his sacrifice has been worthwhile.
