Byron nodded and positioned herself between Amelia’s legs, so their sexes were touching, and began to thrust.
Amelia wrapped her legs around Byron, and thrust back against her. “I love you.”
“It feels so good to make love with your blood inside me, keeping me alive, keeping me healthy. Oh fuck—”
Amelia on instinct guided Byron to her neck, and said, “Come with your teeth in me, feed some more.”
“No.” Byron groaned. “Taken too much.”
“Just a little more, sweetheart. A little.” Amelia pushed Byron’s head down to her neck, and then she felt Byron pounce.
Amelia gasped, and Byron’s hips thrust wildly into her, as Byron groaned into her neck. Then she pulled back and cried out, “Fuck, fuck.”
Amelia knew then, as she watched Byron her rawest, most vulnerable moment, with her own blood painted on her lips, that she finally owned every part of Byron Debrek. There was nothing more hidden away. No more secrets. Byron the vampire was finally hers.
Chapter Twenty-one
Byron got up early, full of life and vigour. It was a wonderful feeling to be bonded by blood to her lover, wife, her Principessa. As soon as she woke she remembered what Amelia had said the first time she had explained about their being bonded by blood.
I’m Mrs. Debrek without even being asked, not even so much as an engagement ring?
That she was going to rectify. After showering and dressing quickly, she hurried downstairs to her office, got what she needed out of the safe, and returned to the bedroom.
When she walked in, Amelia was just stretching and opening her eyes.
“Did we not have a discussion about leaving me in bed all alone, vampire?” Amelia said.
Byron couldn’t help but smile. They had their easy-going, loving banter back, something she’d missed terribly when Amelia was angry at her.
“I have a good excuse.” Byron took her hand and gently pulled. “Up you get.”
But Amelia remained a dead weight and didn’t budge. “Isn’t this something we could discuss lying down?” Amelia gave her a cheeky smile.
“No, I need you on your feet for this.”
“I’m naked,” Amelia said.
Byron quickly got her one of her shirts, and threw it on the bed. “Come on now, Miss Honey. Up, up.”
“You know, I think you have too much energy now that you’re drinking my blood.” Amelia hid under the covers.
Byron crossed her arms, and said, “You do realize I’m a born vampire and could lift you out of bed with my pinkie?”
Amelia pulled the covers down just below her eyes. “Oh yes, super-duper vampire. You couldn’t just be an ordinary vampire, could you?”
“Me? Never, mia cara. I’m Byron Debrek. Now if it’ll make you feel better I have a gift for you.”
“Presents?” Amelia pulled the shirt on quickly, and jumped up.
Byron laughed. “I knew that would get you up.”
