They looked over at the couch. Francis had his arm around the purple haired girl while a blonde fed him a shot out of a bottle of Gran Patrón Platinum.

Kieran snorted. “He’s such a fuckboy.”

“Ah, but that’s his vibe and he makes it work. He just got a massive Samsung sponsorship and he’s got a huge tour booked through Asia and Europe.”

Kieran pulled out their phone. “Shoot The Moon, yeah?”

“Yup.” Eden could just see the booked-out rooftop parties and stadiums. “I’d give my left tit to play STM. Both tits.”

“Well, with the money you’d make, you could buy some amazing fake ones. He’s playing the Ikarus Festival.”

Eden threw her head back. “Ugh, I’m so fucking jealous. Andy’s been talking to his managers for weeks asking if I can get a supporting slot. No one’ll give him a straight answer.”

Kieran frowned. “You sure you wanna go down that road? Pure commercial?”

“Hey, I can still be me and play for Francis. I’ll just be able to rent an apartment with a functioning shower.”

“Your superfans’ll freak out.”

Eden drank more vodka-Red Bull. Kieran wasn’t wrong, but tonight wasn’t the night to settle if she wanted to stay a trance purist or sell out for commercial success. There was a tight, fluttering sensation between her legs and alcohol was only making it worse. She’d avoided guys lately, focusing on her set and helping Andy and Cheryl tee up prospective tour meetings. She didn’t miss the drama of dating, but she missed strong hands gripping her waist, the look guys got in their eyes when they wanted to kiss her.

She glanced back at Francis. God, he was pretty. She’d bet money he had a twisted side. When they finally went there, he’d probably tie her up and slowly tear her apart. Make her beg.

“Fucks sake,” Kieran snapped. “Go talk to him! Push the sugar babies aside and say, ‘the queen has arrived, honey. Clear your schedule.’”

Eden laughed. “Sorry for being such shitty company. I’ll stop staring.”

“Or take my advice and go fucking talk to him.”

Before she could remind Kieran about her vibe, Cheryl appeared in the doorway, carrying a cocktail and wearing a fresh coat of blood red lipstick. She shot Eden a wink and wandered toward Francis, slotting herself right beside him and practically shoving the blonde out of the way. Eden grinned. “That’s the right move.”

“Your best friend hitting on your crush?”

“Scouting my crush. Cheryl’s my spy. She’ll put in a good word and see what Francis thought about the show.”

Kieran clicked their tongue. “So melodramatic.”
