“Ahh,” she moaned against her will. Messiah was a beast, and he was about to capture her. She felt how much he wanted her. God, she felt it. He couldn’t do this. Not today. She was supposed to be graduating today. She had her entire family sitting in the front row. Her boyfriend was sitting on the stage. Messiah was turning her into a whole whore, but she couldn’t say no. The words evaded her. She couldn’t even find her voice to protest. He lifted her onto the bathroom sink and lowered his Nike joggers as he pressed his dark fingers into her light skin. He entered her without thinking twice about hitting her unprotected.

“Fuck!”Messiah groaned.

He filled her as his hand tightened around her throat, and he pressed the back of her head against the mirror.

Morgan was filled with an odd feeling. Shame and desire. No way should he be touching her like this … fucking her like this, but her mouth fell open as he provided a high she hadn’t experienced in years. His sex was like a free fall. Terrifying and exhilarating. It was more than she could handle and made her feel like she were risking it all, but once you jumped out the plane, you just had to pray the parachute opened. Deprivation made Messiah weak, and he came inside her like no time had passed at all. He pulled back, adjusting his clothes as she refused to lend him her gaze. When had they become this awkward? When had sex become such a sin between people who used to partake in it like an addiction?

“This is a mistake,” Morgan whispered as she placed both hands over her face in disgrace.

Messiah fingered the scratches she had put on his neck. They were raw, bleeding. Like her heart. He bit his lip and then lifted sad eyes to Morgan. It wrecked him that so much had changed. Years ago, Morgan and Messiah hadn’t been able to keep their hands off each other. Anytime. Anyplace. They had allowed themselves to indulge in lovemaking. Today, however, things felt so different it almost felt like he had crossed a line. Somberness filled him. Morgan was so different now.

“I’m real proud of you, Shorty Doo Wop,” he mumbled.

She was panting. Spent. Her eyes were misted in an emotion she didn’t quite know how to identify as she pulled her dress down and turned toward the sink.

“Everything feels so different!” she cried. “You waited too long to come back for me, Messiah. You’re too late.”
