I promised to do some digging to find out what Elle thought about him, but neither Ruby nor I had the heart to mention the thing we’d both noticed on her account. Elle and @realdeallogan seemed to have something going on. And he couldn’t be more different from Fred. I mean, sure, he might have just announced a trip to Finland to shoot for some underwear brand, but personality-wise, his chat seemed to be… Well, let’s just say if you are a fan of American football, cars, or going to watch American football in cars, then maybe it could be true love. And Elle seemed way better than that.
Ruby had a point though; maybe Fred finally liking someone was enough. At least it meant he was finally moving on from Eve. Of course, I’d had to immediately ring Fred—who denied everything, but did say Elle was “chill,” they’d had a “dope” afternoon, conversation “totally flowed,” and when I’d asked if she was as hot as I’d imagined he said he “hadn’t noticed.” Hahahaha. Worst liar ever. He also said she looked surprised when he got a sausage roll out of his pocket—maybe I should have warned her.
I just hoped he didn’t get too attached. Just in case she wasn’t into him. I mean, she should be—he was the best human in the world—but I knew how it felt to like someone who didn’t seem into you. Someone like…
NO, WOODY THOUGHT, GO AWAY—YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH PASSPORT CONTROL.
I see you, unwanted Woody thought, and I raise you the biggest light-up festive pineapple I’ve ever seen. He was not going to ruin my evening. I tugged down my woolly hat and marched over to it, and as I sent photos of it to Mum, Elle’s name popped up.
Btw, thought you’d want to know, I’m already on it with your list ![]()
My chest went all warm—and it wasn’t the Christmas churros I’d just eaten. Elle really did like my list—she hadn’t just been saying it! Regardless of the fact we’d life-swapped, truth was, I was still a total fangirl of hers.
Awesome. Alsooooo, not related to anything, but where I live, it’s not considered weird to keep pastry snacks on you for emergencies.
Yes. Subtle.
Now I know you
lists, I made one for you… My way of saying thanks for loaning out your dope friends. You up for it? #ChristmasChallengeRightBackAtYa
Great news that she loved Ruby and Fred, but less-great news was an extra to-do list. Especially if she was challenging me to complete it? Sure, I wanted to be all “yes, of course, I’m up for anything!” just like her, but truth was, I already had a packed daily (some would say hourly) plan.
Could I dodge it?
They thought you were dope too.
