As always, some of the summer was spent in our holiday home at the coast with our dogs. We are up to six now and hubby is putting his foot down and saying: no more! Ha ha. As usual, the time we spent there was nowhere near as much as we would have liked because of work commitments, but then I do try not to write while I’m there, so we have to fit in the visits around events and writing deadlines, etc. Not that I’m complaining – the events are a chance for me to get to meet you all, which is the best bit! Hopefully there will be some more events planned for next year and I’ll get to meet a few more of you.
I’m happy to report that the final Days of the Week book, Time to Say Goodbye, is now finished too and with my editor and I was thrilled when she got in touch to say that she loves it! Phew, it’s always a relief to hear that. I can tell you that, because the series started with Sunday in Mothering Sunday, I felt that the series should end with her and I hope you’ll all love it. I certainly loved writing it and have to admit I shed a tear when I wrote ‘the end’ on the series. Still, not to worry, I promise there will be more to come and I’m already working on it!
My publishers have already come up with some lovely ideas for competitions to mark the end of the Days of the Week collection in the spring so do join the Memory Lane community at for the chance to win some lovely prizes. Just head to Memory Lane Club on Facebook. On there you’ll get to learn all about what myself and all the other lovely Bonnier saga authors are up to.
And now I suppose I should get back to work, but not before I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. Thank you all so much for your continued support!
Much love
Rosie xxxx

Rhubarb Crumble
Rhubarb crumble is one of the first things Holly cooks for Richard. It is delicious served with cream, ice cream or custard.
You will need:
For the fruit:
16oz rhubarb, chopped into 1–2in chunks
4oz caster sugar
½ tsp of vanilla extract
For the crumble:
6oz self-raising flour
3½oz unsalted butter
2½oz muscovado sugar
Method:
Place the rhubarb, sugar and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Cover and simmer on a low heat for 15–20 minutes.
When soft and bubbly, pour the rhubarb into a baking dish.
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6.
Mix the self-raising flour and muscovado sugar together in a mixing bowl, then rub in the butter with your fingers, until the mixture is soft and crumbly.
Pour the crumble evenly over the rhubarb and bake for 30–40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Enjoy!
