i connect with pain

i connect with addiction

i connect with mental dis—ease

i connect with humanity

i connect with hope

i do not condemn nor judge

the next man for his experience.

it is not my place—i am no better.

it’s some deaths you grieve forever.

a couple lost ones you miss everyday.

my issue

is i’m always

missing

old versions

of myself

dead weight

a lot of our suffering

comes from our attachment

to what is no longer.

when you find pleasure

in the moment,

when you say

“okay. this is my life now

and i accept it.”

it isn’t until then

that you find peace

it isn’t until then

that you’re truly able to breathe

and let go

see you

it takes a certain kind of wisdom to understand your responsibilities—here on earth. it takes a certain kind of awareness to guide yourself away from repeating cycles. a certain kind of power to cut the cords attached to you. but really, the most important thing is to mind your business. keep from judging others.

it harms you; it troubles you. ask your guides to limit your troubles. it is okay to grieve our lost ones, it is okay to be brokenhearted.. but in order to fulfill the *souls* of our ancestors, we MUST live FULLY. we must take risks. we must love HARD! share your heart. pour your love in everything. we must forgive and move on. no grudges held.

this is how our ancestors rest easy.

live your life to its fullest.

honor those who honor you.
